Terms and Conditions
These terms take effect on 21 August 2026 and apply to nolcardbalanceonline.com. Use of the site means you accept them. The most important line is this one: the fares, timings and journey estimates here are worked out from published RTA data and are not official confirmation of anything.
Who runs this site
NOL Card Balance Online is an independent guide to the NOL card and Dubai public transport. It is not affiliated with the Roads and Transport Authority, is not endorsed by RTA, and has no commercial relationship with it. Names such as NOL, RTA, Dubai Metro and Dubai Tram appear here to describe the services they belong to, and they remain the property of their owners.
The site publishes reference information and free tools. It does not sell cards, process payments, hold balances or act for RTA in any capacity. The about page explains who builds it and why.
Fares and timings are estimates
Every number here is traced to an RTA page or PDF and stored with the date it was fetched. The calculators then apply RTA's published rules: zone counting, the fare table, transfer conditions and pass prices. That produces a good estimate. It does not produce an official quotation, and it cannot account for a rule RTA has changed without republishing, a station whose zone is drawn on a boundary, or a service disruption on the day you travel.
Two things are authoritative and this site is neither of them: the fare gate display when you tap, and rta.ae. Where our figure and RTA's disagree, RTA is right. Please tell us when that happens so the page can be fixed.
Journey times are derived from RTA's published timetable rather than measured on the day, and interchange waiting times are labelled assumptions. Treat a planned journey time as a guide, not a promise, and leave margin for anything with a deadline attached.
What the balance checker does
The checker validates the format of a 10 digit tag ID in your browser, keeps it there so you can copy it, and sends you to RTA's official balance form to complete the check. It does not read your balance, and no site other than RTA's own can, because RTA verifies a robot check on its own server before returning a result.
We cannot top up, block, replace or refund a card, and we cannot see any account. Those actions run through RTA. Once you follow a link to rta.ae you are on RTA's site under RTA's terms and privacy policy, not ours.
How you may use the content
Read it, use the tools, and quote a line or two with a link back. That is all fine and no permission is needed. What is not fine is republishing the pages or the underlying data sets wholesale, scraping the site to build a competing product, or presenting our figures as your own research.
The tools are provided as they are, free of charge, with no guarantee of availability. Do not attempt to disrupt the site, overload it with automated requests or interfere with the advertising that pays for it.
Limits of liability
We take accuracy seriously and test the tools on every build, and we still cannot guarantee that every figure is correct or current at the moment you read it. The site is provided without warranties of any kind, including warranties of accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from use of this site: a missed train, a fare that differed from the estimate, a penalty issued by an inspector, a card that would not open a gate, or any decision taken on the basis of a page here. Nothing on this site is legal, financial or travel advice. If money or a penalty depends on the answer, confirm it with RTA first.
Links, advertising and changes to these terms
Links to rta.ae, the Dubai Media Office and news outlets are there so you can check our sources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for what they publish or how they handle your data.
The site carries advertising from Google AdSense and Adsterra. Advertisers have no influence over what the pages say, and an advertisement is not an endorsement by us. The editorial policy sets out how sourcing decisions are made and where the line sits.
